Vicago was established in 2004 in the city of Idanre, Ondo State, which is Nigeria’s number one cocoa producing state. Vicago has been able to increase annual output from an average of 100 metric tonnes to 8,000 metric tonnes over its 16 years of trading. Our success over the years can be attributed to a number of factors such as our transformational marketing approach, as we have focused on providing quality cocoa beans and maintaining a long-term relationship with our clients. Also, our advanced hedging strategies have assisted in mitigating risks that arose as a result of the dynamic and ever-changing cocoa market. Our employees have been essential in the growth of Vicago, we will continue to ensure they are motivated through our inclusive talent management strategies, as we believe they are a very important part of the organisation.
